Been a while, but here is my newest coffee shop exploration post! This is part 5 of my Pittsburgh Coffee Shop Adventures! This one is located in the heart of Wexford and is called Longo’s Gourmet Coffee & Ice Cream.

Longo’s opened on July 5th, just a few short weeks ago. If you are familiar with the Wexford area and are unsure of the location, it shares an entryway with Dudt’s Bakery. I went on opening day with my family but didn’t have my camera on me (I know.. shocking) so Chris took me this past weekend. When we went, it wasn’t busy at all. In fact, we didn’t even have to wait in line. I think it’s because not too many people know its location.

Now, I never thought to pair ice cream and coffee and when I first discovered the shop, thought it was an odd combination, but it really works. In fact, they have a warm ice cream sandwich on the menu that one of the owners invented, where you take a pretzel bun and toast it and then choose your ice cream and wha-la! It’s fantastic. Highly recommend ordering if you stop in.

The environment is very cute and homey. Being a Home Goods employee, I basically have their merchandise memorized, so I guarantee they raided a Home Goods store to decorate. But it definitely does the job; it makes its customers feel as if they’re at home. Seeing as though there was plenty of seating room and it’s decorated beautifully, I give it a 10/10!

Chris got a simple cold brew coffee and said he would rate it a 7/10.

I (of course) got an iced chai and gave it a 7/10 as well!

I took some photos of the inside and of the menu so check out those photos and try it for yourself! Overall, it did not disappoint and I highly recommend checking it out.

I showcased some of my favorites down here and the rest are in my Portfolio!
